No Challenges Today - Just a Simple Card

Good rainy and wet afternoon to you all.  Hope you are well and having a nice day today.

Im just popping on to post a card I previously made and I really don't feel like looking for challenges today, maybe tomorrow.

I think it took me a couple of days to get over Brandon's gerbil dying and then having to tell him it died.  He broke his heart crying but was much better the following day bless him.

Anyhow, i'm going on a bit aern't I lol.  Here is my card....

I made it for my sister.

Do you know.  I make cards for my family and I never get feedback from some of them on the card.  I feel like they could say something as I put extra effort in but they never do.  I have now made the decision to just get store bought cards for those that can't be bothered to even say thanks lol.  The funny thing is, it's my friends who appreciate it more.  If i got a handmade card I would be gushing over it - maybe that's just me.

Anyhow, hope you like my card (sorry for waffling).

Thanks for looking and have a lovely day!

Poor Brandon, Poor Gerbil

Good morning all.  Hope you are all good.  I had a bit of an upsetting morning as one of my son's gerbils passed away right before my eyes.  He had tumours and as I was ringing the vet to have him put down because I could see he was suffering, he took his last big breaths and died.  Brandon is going to a friend's house for tea after School then when he comes home, I've got to break the news :0(

Decoupaged Butterfly

Hello there, hope you are all good today.  I've not long returned from a session at the gym called Yogalates.  I now make myself go to this twice a week because I really do need to shift my butt and get fit lol.

Anyhow, I was inspired to make this card because of some papers that were free in the centre of a crafting magazine, details below.  I thought they were gorgeous and I don't really like to use these papers because they can be a little flimsy and difficult to work with, but I couldn't resist them.  You can download the papers from the website but it can get a little expensive printing out papers, with the cost of the ink.  I tend to like to stick to printing digi stamps out with our printer.  I actually did get to make 2 cards with the papers.  The other card will be on my blog sometime this week.

Mr Snowman

Hi there,

I've had a busy day.  I started off by taking my cat to the Vets.  She's very old (20) and she needs a regular checkup as she is on painkillers for her joints.  Because of her age the vet said she now has an irregular heartbeat and she's slowly losing weight.  Although she is losing weight, it is not something that is just happening its very gradual over the years.  She's my shadow and wants feeding all the time.

Anyhow, here is a Christmas card that I did for the ABC Christmas Challenge blog, like I said I am going to keep joining in with this one so I will have a load of christmas cards at the ready for Christmas 2014.

Challenges:-

ABC Christmas Challenge Blog - A is for Anything Christmas
Crafting from the Heart - Anything goes with Pearls or Buttons
Without Words - Spots and/or Stripes

Sorry, my photos from 3 onwards are not brilliant but I found it hard trying to get good pictures of the inside of the card.  Something to practice I think.

The inside of the card is made with one of the WS Designs card templates. When assembled all together it does look really nice.  I have added snowflakes inside the snowman apperture, which I hope you can see from my pics.

Unfortunately I don't have a pro-marker list for this post, so apologies.  I put them all back into storage before I marked them down.

Items used on Card:-

Bugaboo image
Handmade card blank
Papers are a mixture of Papermania and Magnolia (old collections)
Pearls are Papermania.
